About Me
A Snippet of my Story
My name is Kevin Mercier (@stoise), a Florida-based illustrator and web designer, currently employed by SOE Software as an Interactive and Graphic Designer. I also specialize in CSS web design, illustrations, and icon design.
I started Stoise as a personal blog to track and showcase my progress in a public way. I drove my mother crazy throwing all of my drawings away when I was a child, so this is my way to pay her back.
What can I do?
I am currently a User Interface and Graphic Designer at SOE Software, specializing in web, interface, Flash, and print design. Working in this position has also caused me the wear the shoes of a video editor, consultant, and wordpress developer, and Flash (AS3) programmer.
My main, more enjoyable hobbies have me designing icons, doodling mascots, and creating illustrations for children books. Although pen and paper are my favorite medium, anything that challenges me I find enjoyable. The pride of creation is that much better when there are obstacles to concur on the way.
Freelance? Sure!
As of now my schedule with my position is pretty packed, but I’m always available to tackle on a fun and challenging side-project. I can provide websites, illustrations, and even some referrals if necessary. If you give me a concept I will find a way to see it through until its finished. Interested? Drop me a line!
